St. Lucy

St. Lucy is situated in the northern-most area in Barbados and it is the only parish, which is named after the female patron saint. Located a bit out of the way, it remains one of the most beautiful and less relatively known than the other parishes in Barbados. Surfers will find Maycocks Bay particularly interesting since the waves are excellent for surfing. This small lush tropical island also features three other stunning bays including Cove Bay, Little Bay and River Bay, however, the beaches on these bays are not recommended for swimming or surfing since the currents can be really strong. But this shortcoming should not deter you from exploring the myriad facets of this scenic treasure land.
